Thanks for the initiative you took and the courage you gathered to create a movie on such a sensitive issue (which is not actually, but in India it is).
Atleast you made us move a step forward towards our freedom.
Otherwise that useless fear of periods..its a silent killer.
Thankyou really for announcing it loud that those 8 pack of napkin is actually not a dynamite, so people no need to turn around and peep in our hands as we step out of the pharmacy.
I am really thankful Mr. Akshay Kumar..You proved again that you rule in our hearts. (Waiting eagerly for the movie)
Meanwhile, I would really like to share an incident which happened when I was in class 11th. A friend of mine had her periods between the class. Cramps began and she couldn’t handle. She burst out of tears and we were really really afraid by her reaction.
A female teacher then came and took her to the rest room.
We knew very well what actually happened (obviously, we suffer every single month).
The girl in her worse condition stressfully screamed, “it’s a curse. An injustice God has done. Why we girls??? Why not boys.”
Probably every girl on her first day murmer this…
A very senior teacher Preetilata Goswami ma’am then entered the room and called upon all the girls from 11 and 12 class.
She gave an off subject lecture, I still remember.
Goswami Ma’am said…
“Its not a curse my child. It’s a blessing. God has chosen us..we female for this blessing. We can give birth because of this process. Its absolutely not a curse.
God has chosen us to give birth..we give life…please realize the depth.
Remember..We are the creators.”
What words!!
Ma’am this is surely unforgettable. Thanks for the lesson.
